About Me

“What's your name,' Coraline asked the cat, 'Look, I'm Coraline. Okay?'

'Cats don't have names,' it said.
'No?' said Coraline.
'No,' said the cat. 'Now you people have names. That's because you don't know who you are. We know who we are, so we don't need names.”
- Neil Gaiman, Coraline

Apparently, my parents had not met Neil Gaiman's literature when I was born and fortunately, I wasnt born a cat. Ergo, I DO have a name. And it's Remya. And this blog that you currently find yourself in, has been alive since 2008. From a music review blog, to a whiny personal blog, to a teenage drama forum to a dorky/nerdy humor space, this place has been quite a ride. And now I'm back, in 2013, to this one place in the virtual world, which to me feels like home.
It took me a year of sabbatical from the blogging world to realize how supremely pretentious you can sound when you describe your favorite poem to be a tie between Neruda and Garcia Lorca. What my 16 year old self really wanted to convey was how much I adore poetry.

Fortunately, I can still vouch by my earlier statement that I can listen to the tracks of Jack Johnson and Broken Bells any hour of the day, irrespective of whatever mood I'm in.

My idea of perfection is - early morning, monsoons/ winters, a window, a cozy sofa next to the window, a blanket, hot coffee/ chocolate and a book.

The rest of me is out there on my blog for everybody to read. If I tell you everything, then all of this would be pointless, wouldnt it.

"When we remember we are all mad,
the mysteries disappear
and life stands explained."- Mark Twain

Much love,
Remya.
